We had a fence put it and it's beautiful and what we wanted. They were extremely quick to respond give us a quote and install was all within a week of contacting them. We ran into one mishap with the fence layout and within 24 they came back and fixed the problem and we were extremely satisfied with the end result. I researched a few companies and got a few quotes and with there extremely quick responses and install and prices they have blow away our expectations. If we ever need a project done again like this we will be reaching out to them first!

My wife and I just purchased a home and we needed a fence to keep our dogs in the yard. I contacted Nate and set up an appointment to have him look at the property and give us a bid. He showed up on time and gave us a number of options for the of the types of fencing he installs. On the day of installation the crew showed up on time and were fascinating to watch how motivated and efficient the workers were. I was in construction back in my 20's and I was impressed by their speed and quality. I highly recommend if you need a fence to hire this company.

I contacted WhatcomHandyMan for the construction of a fence based on the pictures and good reviews they had received on the their website. My need was specific: I had to have a 6 ft fence that would accommodate a Great Pyrenees and match my 1923 home. My experience and the project outcome exceeded my expectation: the workmanship of the crew was impeccable in their skill; communications were timely, personable, and attentive to detail. Following the installation of the fence neighbors praised it with words like artistic and beautiful. During the project, I learned that my neighbors fence which I identified as a very fine fence was installed by the same crew working on my behalf. Later someone who helps me around the house shared his delight: WhatcomHandyMan had done a great job installing a fence at his neighbor's home and he was happy to see them helping me.

I enjoy my fence everyday- it is pleasing to look at and it provides a safe space for my newly adopted Gpyr.

Satisfaction and good spirit carries us through the day. I attest WhatcomHandyMan succeeded in providing that to me. I highly recommend.

Job has been completed and I couldn't be more impressed. Nathan, and his team, showed up as scheduled and made short work of removing the old deteriorated fence and drilled new holes for the upright posts. Next, they fastened the pickets...there had to be a few hundred of them, at least...and they were all perfectly level at the top! I mean not 1/16" difference between them...I point that out because my wife has an "engineers eye" and anything that is uneven or out of plumb drives her crazy! The fence was then treated with stain/sealer and looks fantastic! The guys were all very polite and took the time to answer any questions I had during the process. Great job guys!!

I have a particularly difficult terrain on rock soil with beds of mud at a cliffside of Hale Passage. I have two dogs that can dig and dig, jump and climb to play with other dogs or find a way to get out, just for fun. We had reconstruct our fence (wood frame and Hog wire 4 x4) and needed it to not only match the slope, but have the metal extend into the ground, slightly) just below the top of the soil. It was difficult. Good job!!! The gate is a sliding metal gate that moves so so smoothly, it is set on a /\ shaped rail so no pebbles, mud, etc. can get under the wheels. The frame and fence are quite strong. Everyone who comes by says, "what an improvement over the swing gates!" The guys worked as a team. They were efficient and the cost quite reasonable. They are trustworthy, and responsive.

I had a tricky fence request that balanced cost, looks and goat containment. The crew at Whatcom Handy Man was kind and responsive to my requests from the outset. When the end product left a goat containment issue, the owner immediately engaged and fixed the gap where clever caprines would have eventually found their way to freedom. 5-stars, would recommend for their great professionalism and attention to customer service. We needed a strong, good looking fence on some difficult terrain that would protect our yard and energetic dogs. We got that from Whatcom Handyman. The owner, Nate Conant, is a personable, conscientious, detail-oriented fence expert who cares about what you want, will give you his view of how to do it and what will work best, then work hard to make sure it goes according to plan. He and his crew are good to work with, listen well, and are willing and eager to deal with any problems and make everything right. Altogether, working with Whatcom Handyman was a good experience. Our new fence looks great!

Tom Highfield

The entire interaction with Nate and his awesome team was great from beginning to end. I needed 150 feet of cedar fence that matched some existing fence. It was not a "typical" fence design, if there is such a thing. The fence was heavy duty (used 6x6 posts) and had a particular design that may not have been the most common. But Nate took pictures and made sure it was quoted correctly. I told Nate I'd like to do the staining and wanted to make and install the post caps myself. He said that was no problem and quoted accordingly.

The crew built it perfectly and they were all very polite and great to work with. I even got to play with Simba, the friendly golden retriever who supervised the project (tethered of course). My project also involved removal of a large tree stump right on the property line. They brought out the stump grinder for that and also knocked out some other stumps to help me with landscaping I'd be doing near the fence.

The entire process progressed very quickly. I received my estimate literally the same day Nate first came out to see the site. We made a few tweaks over the next day or so and the work was scheduled for about 2-3 weeks later. The build did get delayed two days based on a previous job running a bit over. But they were super communicative about it and it was not a problem at all. The fence was built over a period of three days and we couldn't be happier with the result.

I called several companies to fix the fence and only Whatcom Handy Man called me back immediately. After I sent out the pictures of my damaged fence and I got a quote to replace the entire back fence, the entire process was completed in half an hour, and the quotation was delivered to my mailbox. The appointment was made and after a week a crew of 10 came early with all the tools and materials showed up at the door. I was watching the skill workers performance their job, each was assigned a dedicated part of the project, and they knew what they are doing. I have made some adjustment to the plan that I did not foresee, and the workers were happily making the alternation. After a full day of work the fence turned out to be exceptionally beautiful, the best-looking fence in the neighborhood. After the work, they were using blowers to clean up the driveway, no mess was left behind! And no additional cost for minor change of plan!
